Just wondering if anyone knows why the rigs seem to be avoiding the area around Grove. Signed with Antero a year or so ago, and just looking at the map, the wells that have been drilled close to Grove, all have laterals headed away from Grove.
Is Grove in Doddridge County, and if so what district. I signed a lease in 2009 with Antero, permit was issued 4-12-2013, and was drilled in Sept of 2013, so sometimes it takes awhile.
Yes, it's in Doddridge in the Cove district. I see on the W. Virginia oil and gas website where there are 2 wells that show up on the past 60 days query, but they are about a mile from our lease. When you query the laterals, it really looks like they are avoiding us...LOL. Signed the lease in early 13 with Antero.
Education me George, where do you find the Query. As you probably know Antero try's to get at least 640 Acres before they drill, I have signed leases where I own 9-1/2 acres of a 40 ac plot, and Antero only went through an acre of my track, so I still have 8-1/2 acres hanging out there, and this happens all the time. In your case Antero went around your interest as they had there 640 acres. It could be also that some people in your area did not want to sign a lease, so they went around you. Did you get a chance to lease? A mile is a long way.
