Help with minerals in converse county, wy

HELP!

I have a small 1/32 undivided interest in the following tracts:

TOWNSHIP 32 NORTH RANGE 68 WEST; SECTION 8-32N-68W: SE/4SE/4; NE/NW/4

SECTION 17 AND 18 T 6TH PM N/2NW/4;SW/4NW/4 OF SECT 9; SW/4 AND THE SW/4NW/4 OF SECT.17; E/2SE/4 OF SECT. 18

About a year ago I received notice of several wells being drilled in close proximity to some of the above properties. The wells were being drilled by Kerr McGee. I have tried to find out what’s goin on, but have been given the run around from them. I suspect that some of these properties may be drained by the wells they drilled. Need guidance about finding out what’s going on. This is a undivided interest that was purchased out of a bankruptcy estate. I called Converse County to see if they had an appraisal district. The purpose being to see if any of the other undivided interest owners were paying taxes on royalty interest. The lady wasn’t helpful, and said that they did not have an appraisal district, and that I would have to come to Converse County if I wanted to see their mineral records. That’s not practical.

My interest is in leasing for the largest amount I can. Like everyone else. Right?

Thanks

Doesn’t look like the wells in section 8 have been drilled yet. Do you have 1/32 of all 3 sections (20 per section)?

You can goto the WOGC website: http://wogcc.wyo.gov/

and look under the ‘data’ tab: http://pipeline.wyo.gov/legacywogcce.cfm

There are a number of ways to look up the activity in those sections.

for section 8 32 68 for instance, you can click through to one of the various maps to view the status of the wells: http://pipeline.wyo.gov/Wellapi.cfm?oops=ID11510&nAPINO=929896
