Having just finished up my taxes, I was struck by how much more Hess takes out of my checks for various expenses than any of the other oil companies. Has anyone else had this concern? Has anyone tried to do something about it. My properties are in North Dakota. Thanks. JSM
Do you have a working interest? Hess is not known as a low cost operator, so Lease Operating Expenses will be higher than almost anybody else.
If you’re only talking about royalty interests, take a look at your lease. Whatever deductions they take must comply with whatever your lease allows.
