Anyone have any experience with a Horizontal sidetrack, is it done to improve a existing well?

Lots of experience with this approach. But why us sidetrack being done? Mechanical problems with initial well? Did original wellbore miss target? Other reasons? Could be many reasons to do sidetrack operation
This is on Pecos State 46 4H, RKI well. Well is now producing. Maybe to improve production?

I can now see on the public viewer how they are drilling a new lateral for 4H, it is now right next to 3H.
