Horizontal spacing case

Received notice of a case from Crawley Petroleum for horizontal spacing on the minerals we just leased in October. 4-11N-19W also in Custer 33-12N-19W. Does this mean they are preparing to drill?

This is step one. They have to set the spacing for the reservoir(s) of interest. Then they may have a case for a multi-unit horizontal well, then a location exception, then perhaps pooling to those folks who are not leased. Then a permit. Then maybe drilling. Time will tell.

They requested a change from 640 acres for the Lower Des Moines common source of supply to a 1280 acre for the Cherokee common source. Not sure what any of that means…

640 acres is one section. 1280 means that they are going to space two sections together for a multi-unit well.
