How about getting together?

Who is interested in getting together for a meet and greet?

Vicki suggested "The Mont" in Norman, OK. (Vicki, I was eating there in the early 70s when it was Hacienda Hernandez) But let the ideas roll..

I'm going to have a pretty busy schedule but would love to make it if I can work it in.

Throw some ideas out there everyone and lets see if we can make it happen. Maybe even have a few different ones over the year.

NARO Oklahoma convention is also in Norman 16-18 April so that is another possibility.

Everyone here is a member, right?

Sound off!!!

The Mont is about 2-3 mile East of I-35 between Lindsay and Main. It is on Boyd and Classen if you know where that is. http://www.themont.com/

Linda, they have excellent iced tea @ the Mont. When I worked for a couple of Drs. in Norman the drug reps would take us there all the time (sometimes at noon for lunch, hence tea time, and sometimes after work (hence margaritas).

Joe’s BBQ Alvin,Tx

Rick I would be interested Joe reeder

I would drive up from Dallas! Y’all have helped me so much! I already met Rick when he helped me at the court house, but I’d love to meet everyone else!

Let's do it!

A really outstanding idea. I, would be up for that. And, then from time to time like suggested. The Mont is on a triangle like corner and parking can be squeezed at times. So depending on how busy they are at that time , - will I, would simply park up on Campus Corner and walk down if necessary.

I am about 2 1/2 hours away but remember the path to get there !

Times/Dates ?

Haven't been there is well over 25 years, but seems like there was a FREE CHEESE bar back then.

John

Just need a date and time! Im on board!

Rick, sounds like we've got a pretty good crew together.

Rick,

Sounds great. I should be in Oklahoma a few days in April when the weather warms up.

Let me know. Love to meet everyone. Get bunch of people, so I look forward to meeting everyone.

It sounds like it is 83 votes for the Mont and one for Joe's BBQ. Sorry, Mike. :) But I'm intrigued and may have to come try it our some time.

Virginia, are you going to the NARO conference in April?

What day? With it being a decent distance away for some, do we want to do it on a weekend? What time?

Rick,

I haven't signed up yet for the conferences as I have some conflicts, but hope to work them out and be able to attend at least the first day.

I should be in OK in April and Friday eve April 18, after 5 or Sat noon would work great for me as far as I know right now. This place is in Moore isn't it? If it's noon on Sat, it would give some of us out of state people time to drive back home. On Friday, it would mean another overnight stay. But, whatever is fine with me, I will try and make it. I'm having a few medical problems to work out, but hope to be fine by then.

Virginia, the Mont is actually in SE Norman. I think Sat on the 19th of April would be great, especially if several are in Norman for the NARO conference. Maybe M. Barnes and Hutch could car pool up from south Texas and pick up Jennifer while passing through Dallas. I love it when a plan comes together! I think I know another forum member who lives within walking distance of the Mont...

Vicki,

Thank you. I think I wrote Moore, but I meant where the college is. I keep getting those 2 cities turned around. It would be great if a bunch of Texan could meet each other. I know their are several people in the DFW area. I think Martha McMorries is in Houston and planning on going to the conference.

I will be at the farm near Enid, OK if everything goes as planned. Right now I have some bones broke in my foot and they have put me in special shoes and supports. And I'm suppose to stay off it, boy is that hard. If that doesn't work, it's a hard cast, but it will finish my bad knee off, so I sure don't want that.

Look forward to meeting you and everyone.

I think 19 April would work for me.

Rick,

Thanks again. Just got home from the mardi gras ball. Laissez les bon temp roulette. :)

Just a month away! Make sure you have it marked on your calendars

Rick,

What time?

Well. I guess that has not been decided yet. I think noon would be fine. I really don't know how crowded they are there on Saturdays. Maybe if we do 1:00 we would not feel as rushed.

Vicki, Do you know how busy they are? I've only been a couple of times in the last few years and it was in the evening and outside.
