I have checked the OCC well data finder and see some water oil and dry wells that have been drilled on my property but how can I tell if I have some oil still on my property without drilling
Incase you are wondering I have land in Oologah south of the highway west of the big oil fields on 430 road
It is more helpful to the forum if you give your county, section, township and range in the body of the text.
It would be better for an Oklahoma expert to respond, but in Kansas I’ve had to request copies of all paper well records for specific sections from the Kansas Geological Survey and also the Kansas Corporation Commission. I discovered that many more wells only existed on paper than in the electronic / GIS / well database. Oklahoma seems to have alot more records digitized but I’m sure there is a repository of paper well records that may be a treasure trove.
I discovers the first well in our section was drilled in 1892! Also found wells in adjacent sections with production numbers that probably haven’t been seen in our area for a century. I was really amazed.
@MericanMint, looks like your area of interest is 18-22N-15E in Rogers County, OK. It does not appear that there is current production in this section, although at least 2 of the wells are still listed as active.
I appreciate that thank you
