How do I confirm the ownership interest on a Division Order? What is that formula?

You need to give the state. OK is different than TX and maybe other states as well.

The formula is: (for OK) net acres/actual spacing acres x royalty x % perforations in your section.

Note that sections on the northern tier (1-6) and western tier (6,7,18,19,30,31) are not always 640 acres due to surveying correcting for curvature of the earth, so check the Division Order to see if they give the actual acres. You can also find them on the BLM website. Home - BLM GLO Records
