I have a 3 year oil and gas lease that is expiring April 2013. The current Lessor is Divide Resources, Billings, Montana. I have left 2 voice mails with no response back. They appear to have no web site, so email doesn't appear to be an option. Perhaps there is little interest in this particular area, but any contact information you can pass on to me in order to "shop" this acreage would be appreciated. The property description is:
Township 145 North, Range 100 West, 5th P.M.
Section 1: Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, S2N2, S2
Section 11: All
Section 12: W2
Section 13: All
Section 14: N2
2,557.04 gross acres, 14.63 net acres
We have other mineral acres in township 147 North that is leased for another year. I was recently in touch with the landman and he felt the lease would not expire because drilling/production would likely happen before the end of the lease and the lease would thus continue on.
Thanks in advance for any information that anyone has that might help me be able to get the acres leased.
Mr Ward: There is a place you might want to advertize your available listings, I do not know the success rate, but it may be good for a look and besides its free and only takes your time............ up on top of every page Click on the Home Button.......... at the home page, scroll down all the way to listings, enter it and see what oppertunitys might present. I hope you well Brian...
Mr. Ward, That area is somewhat the hinterlands for infrastructure. The closest Bakken well was drilled by GMX resources 4 miles east and just north of you. SM Energy has historical production in your area from lateral Madison wells. I think the odds are good that your area will produce commercially profitable wells. If I were an independant speculative leasing company, I would want a longer lease of probably 5 years so I would have alot better chance of drilling occouring in the term of the lease, and better odds of making a profit. There are independants such as Empire Oil that you could enquire with. Good luck with your minerals.
I have contacted both GMX Resources and SM Energy via email about a week ago and have had absolutely no response. I will try to contact Bakken B3 Minerals. Thanks for the information. Bob
Bakken HBT, LP out of Oklahoma City, OK appears to have leased and pursued deals in the area. I believe their phone number is 405/702-6303 (Jack Clark).
Thanks Michael. We are on vacation in Arizona. As soon as I get back to Oregon in 10days or so, I will give them a call and see if there is any interest.
