How do I update my mailing address on my mineral deeds with the county?

I want to update my address with Fisher county so that the oil and gas companies can mail me their offers. How can I achieve this?

You should consult a real estate attorney (in the state where your mineral interest is located) for the best option.

Contact the recorder of deeds in Fisher county and see what they require for an Affidavit of Address or whatever that county calls it. You probably do not need an attorney at this point. The recorder of deeds may have a template form that they want you to use-size of paper, margins, etc.

Generally, you will file an affidavit of change (address and/or name) reciting your interest in the property by legal description and that the names/addresses were previously *** but are now ***. Like M_Barnes says, check with the recorder. Some counties may even have a form to use.

After being in many County Clerk Offices around the country, I cannot remember any forms being offered for filing since that might be considered legal advice. Although, some Clerks in CA offer required deed form details due to the strict requirements. Best practice is an Affidavit of Address with the related property description as you suggested.
