If contacted by a leasing agent, it normally means the land is unleased, but not always. Are you getting checks from any producers on this land?
If your nephew does not have caller ID, it will be pretty hard to figure out who called.
If he was contacted once, they will usually call again. There are tons of leasing peeps right now, do you have a name or something to go by? We could help by comparing or asking around.
