How to Find Unit Sizes

Does anyone know how to find unit sizes for WV wells?

Depending on your county in WV you can use the online search records to find the declaration of pooled unit (if its been loaded).

(1) Go to: NETR Online • Doddridge • Doddridge Public Records, Search Doddridge Records, Doddridge Property Tax, West Virginia Property Search, West Virginia Assessor search your county to see if it has an online clerk

(2) Most WV counties are on a search site called IDX (you’ll see it in the URL) Search for description: Declaration of pooling or the Unit name

Tip: Sometimes if you search by unit name and then click on Selections at the top, Document Type (uncheck everything put Designation of Pooling), it can be faster Tip: Search your name to see if it comes up in the pooling order

(3) Select the document and look for the leases involved, total acreage, or w/e you are looking for.
