We recently found that we are owners of Minerals through lineage in Cooke County. How do we record our ownership with Cooke County? We have done our own research and have completed an Affidavit of Heirship, obtained copies of Mineral Deed, and can record a Trust that will show rightful ownership.
What other items need to be filed or what other processes should we take to claim ownership?

If the minerals were properly conveyed to the trust, then look to the trust provisions to determine if the minerals are to be distributed to the beneficiaries. Visit with a Texas attorney.
