Through my deceased Grandmother, myself and 4 siblings, and several cousins are heirs to 15 acres of mineral rights located @ Section 35, Township 19 North, Range 4 West, Logan County, Oklahoma. My brother and sisters and I don't have a clue about leasing the mineral rights. It will be split at least 16 ways we think but don't know how to prove who owns what share. Hate to just forget about it but also hate to pass up an opportunity to have a little income. They have already named the well the CROW. Would appreciate hearing from everybody and anyone. We are completely in the dark and really can't afford an attorney.
landmen will figure it out for you
Very sorry, but who are the landmen?
The landmen will be those fellows who try to get you to sign a lease.
I say God bless and guide our landmen, because they know the industgry and how it operates and I do not, nor do I want to know a whole lot about it. I have much better things to do. so they doo allah the footwork for us and of course they get a percentage of what you get. I believe most of them are honest and hard working individualsw, but there are lots of folks around who want someone else to do allah the work and yet pay them nothing for doing it. Most of the crying among mineral owners is just that, crying just to hear themselves cry. ommunication with your landmen is essential to avoiding a serious stomach ulcer. Enjoy it, this is opportunity and can be a wonderful experience even if the well is a dud.
Thank you very much. I have had a few contact me by mail. Their is a lot of work to be done to show that myself and siblings are heirs to the mineral rights. Can the land company (Sendero), representing Slawson Exploration, force us to accept a lease agreement by pooling hearings before the Corporation Commission. I don't mean to be a pest and you need not reply but any and all help is greatly appreciated. Has anyone heard of projected production from the "Crow" well which is the one we are involved with?

Yes, you are being pooled. There is actually a pending pooling on your section right now and your Grandmothers name is on there. The hearing date was supposed to be today. Being pooled is not a bad thing. The only problem is that until the title is cleared any payments due to the family will go into suspense. To figure out who owns what there's some basic information that needs to be obtained.
Did your Grandmother die testate or intestate?
Where did she die?
If there was a will, was the Estate probated?
