I’m monitoring OCC for a lease we signed for a horizontal well in Caddo: surface hole 32-09N-11W ending at 29-09N-11W
I see a couple of old plugged wells in 2022 for section 29, and a permit to drill in early 2023 for section 32.
I was hoping to see more progress by now. Am I missing anything?
Permits in OK can have varying time limits before they expire. Most are either six months or a year. Covid required that some of them either be extended or issued with longer time frames.
As company budgets get into the third an fourth quarters, they may choose to prioritize those permits that meet their economic needs and drill them first. Also, rig availability may be an issue. Any number of factors might delay a drilling spud date. Time will tell.

Yes, the spud 1001A eventually shows up on the OCC.
