Info needed on Seitel Data, etc in Lavaca Co

I own land and minerals near Witting, in Lavaca County. I received permit papers to allow vibrating trucks to do seismic surveys on my land. Can anyone tell me about Seitel? What do I have to be concerned about with my water wells, etc. It appears from the prospective plat we received that the test line would go right through the farmstead and well, of one of our farms.

They offered us $25 per acre. Is this enough to put up with the hassle of having these guys around? Should I ask for more? What about pre-test water well evaluations etc? I am not inclined to just grant general approval to anything they may want to do. Thanks for any help.

I am on 532 right above Witting. I worked for Seitel for several months and I can tell you they are not only legitimate but concerned about doing a good job and taking care of your land in a good way. 25$ was the top they were offering. I did it, in fact just received my check and all my neighbors did too. don't worry. Take the money and have a good trip!!!!!!!

Go to the Fayette county, and Cypress and Sanchez blogs they are very informative, and sometimes entertaining as well. I too, had a Seitel test on my place they are legit.
