These offers to buy in Carter county are for deep horizontal wells. The old wells are not that important. Read over the other postings in Carter county to get caught up on what is going on. The deep horizons are perceived to be much more valuable than the shallow. You have a horizontal well pending in your section. Be cautious about selling.

Just received a letter from Continental resources consisting of a ratification of plan of utilization on Lexington Woodford unit covering sections 29,30,31,32 for township 1 south, range 2 west Carter, county. Do I sign this? Does it mean they’re definitely drilling?
They have quite a few horizontal drilling cases at the OCC for those sections, so I think that is an encouraging sign for future drilling.
