Inreased Density Operator: Wildhorse Operating Co

I just received an Application for Increased Density relief requested by Wildhorse Operating Co. Does anyone else own mineral rights in NW/4 NW/4 SW/4 of Section 23, 2S 2W..and what do we do with this. They are asking to allow the drilling and production from an additional well on the drilling and spacing unit and cmmone course of supply described. Do we respond to this or is this for information only. Do we need to act on it in any way. If it is indeed ordered is this a good thing?

Isn't the paperwork you received just a copy of Wildhorse's application to the OCC?

Sounds like good news to me - another well drilled on your minerals.

Yeeeeaaaahhhh!!!!

Today's Daily Oklahoman newspaper reports 3 drilling permits in SW of Sec. 23. You can read it online: newsok.com

It's free but you'll probably have to register. Click on Business, then scroll down to Drilling Activity.

My mineral rights are in Section 30 3S 3E and I too just received an Increased Well Density relief document yesterday.

The document says the 1981 order has the density "...as a 640-acre drilling and spacing unit..." No wonder there is only one well on the section.

I also found this intesting - "...to authorize an additional well on the comprised Section 30, Township 3 South, Range 3 East, Carter County, Oklahoma, to test the Woodford common source of supply."

What do you think this, TO TEST THE WOODFORD COMMON SOURCE OF SUPPLY, means?

It means drill into the Woodford formation to see if there's anything there in producing quantities.

There is a well, HOBBS 1-30H, producing for a couple of years.
