Ran into a problem recently with a OG lease I signed in the past that had a clause that " I
intended to lease all of my holdings in a section" and intended to "lease with this party" even though the present lease was for only part of my holdings.
This clause was after most of the details of the lease and I didn't even notice it. It was
my error not to read the lease carefully. But, be sure and look for any clauses that limit
your right to lease addition OG minerals. It turned out OK for me but involved
additional paperwork and aggravation.
