Does any one know if any new drilling to the Woodford Shell or if the Woodford is in the velma area?
There is a lot of drilling in the Woodford north of you . It looks like it could be moving south. Where is your interest ?
I think north and east of Velma for sure would be in the Scoop area but I'm not sure about west. It seems to slope from NW around Peidmont and angle down toward Ardmore it seem to me from listening to people talk.

mine are in T2NR7W sec. 28,32,and 33 and 1S4W sec30 . I don't know what this means I know it,s around velma
I'm thinking the 30, 1S 4w would be north and maybe a little east of Velma which should be in the good Scoop area but I don't know about the Sections in 2n 7w. It may be a little too far west but some of these guys could tell you better than I could. But, I think the farther west you go the closer you might be to the GREAT Hogshooter Zone where Chesapeake found that record buster!
Thanks. i am pretty sure Marathon leased the T2n 7w sec 28 i think you are right on the 2n 7w We also have some up in Caddo county 11N 12w and 9n 12w do you know anything there.
Sorry, I really don't know anything about Caddo County.
Your rights in 2N-7W will be in far South Marlow. North of HW7 and East of HW81. 30-1S-4W is near Velma.
The Woodford is there on both locations. It is just not near as thick near Marlow and may have the "liquids-rich" characteristic that is so desirable right now. Hopefully we will see some of the activity move further south this year. Currently almost all of the Woodford Horizontal drilling in Stephens County has been in 2N-4W. A bit in the eastern part of 2N-5W and CHK has/had a permit for 1n-4w that looks to be abandoned.
It will be interesting to see where they drill this year 2013 and next. I have a co finally interested in 2N6 W at the bottom east section almost because of continental stealth leasing 1n 6w or at least most of its sections . REALly seemed to want north and south toward east. They have all of it leased they want. Or need for whatever is going to happen. As 700 barrels a day at 7500 ft deep was brought in 30 + years ago in one sect here and section still producing with four wells oil and gas ( obviously not what theywere in early 80’s) but the oil had to come from deeper and still is as corp comm said life of field would be 12 years at most…well they ere wrong on that and I hope they make a big oil find here like other area’s…you folks in 2n4w are very fortunate and may you see more, I know money does not buy happiness but it does buy independence for your family. Best to all.
Any interest in S22-2N-6W
Not really Crystal. The interest in township 1N-6W has been increasing as has the south edge of 2N-6W. The center of the interest appears to be 5-6 miles south of you.
A construction man that has in charge of moving rigs for Continental said they told him that they were going to drilling all of this area around here and clear down to the red river!!!! That would certainly include Velma as it's between here and the red river. (closer to here south of Lindsay than it is to Velma).
