Validus has filed for increased density and pooling in 24-14-16. They have been leasing in sections 13,14,24,25, and 36 of 14N 16W
We received a lease for 33-12N-19W in October and received a notice of a case for horizontal spacing (part of Washita county was leased as well). Curious if this means drilling is imminent?
The general order of the cases is as follows: Spacing for the Reservoirs of interest, then Request for a horizontal well (single unit or multi-unit), Location exception if they are not going to place the well in the center of the spacing, pooling for those that are not leased, then a permit, then perhaps drilling. Sometimes, an increased density case is also needed. This can take months. Looks like you are heading for a well with 4-11N-19W.
Kara: It “appears” that Crawley is planning several horizontal wells in that area with the Cherokee formation as the intended target. Time will tell if they are productive or not.
