My leases are ancient and flat rate...for those of you who have moved out of the dark ages. Is this calculator even remotely accurate?
My jaw dropped when I saw the numbers.

Seems to be. But you must be careful that you use the correct units. For example; most production figures are in cubic feet per month. So, you divide by 1000 to get the amount in million cu ft. Here is the figures for one of my wells. My property in unit, 22.1 ac. Size of unit, 223.4 ac. Per cent of ownership in my property 50%. Royalty percentage 14%.
Divide my ac by unit ac 22.1/223.4=.098925694
X % ownership .50 x .098925694=.049462847
X RI. .049462847 x .14=.006924799. Now you multiply production by price and then multiply that by .006924799 = your share.
Ok, I just wanted to get feedback from folks who are seeing money of marcellus. I am not counting chickens, only checking to see if there are any at all. lol
When I first saw that my share was a number proceeded by a decimal pint and two zeros I was a little disapointed. But when I did the caulk I wasn’t quite so disapointed. LOL
I can certainly see where that might be disappointing. =)
Hi Stephanie…Good question…that particular link you showed seems right…it had another term to add and my calcs are more inline with what Antero estimated.
Other calculators seem off …
I spoke w/Antero Denver yesterday and they said things are slow but my work figures to start in early 2016…not too far off the original timetable…
Hey Richard- I'll trade you my 0.0001997 for your 0.006924799!!!
My jaw just dropped too.
I have interest in 5 wells in Grant Dist. Antero said 1 had first sales in Feb. This Calculator made me smile. Even if it is off alittle, I was pleasantly pleased by those numbers :D
Darin, no thanks. But, I have a couple at .00002113 that we could possibly negotiate a trade. LOL
LOLOLOL. Enjoy the pennies Richard!! :)
