Kingfisher County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Thanks for the information “M Barnes” — definitely has our interests back in overdrive…

Kingfisher: Hinkle Oil & Gas Inc.; Lincoln North Unit No. 15-4H Well; NE1/4 NE1/4 NW1/4 NE1/4 (BHL) of 29-18N-05W; 154 barrels oil per day, 65,000 cu-ft gas per day; TD 12,276

Debra, which section 9? There are many. Need the Section Township and Range.

Do you see anything going on in Sec 9 yet? I just leased 40 ac. to stable representing payrock

9, 16N, 7W

I heard rummors that newfield was in there too.

Usually the big three are nosing around. Newfield, Continental and Marathon are the players. Apache and Devon have their own areas in other counties.

Little bit of leasing in 9-16N-7w, but no wells yet. Marathon also in there.

Husky Ventures filed a location exception for 20-19n-07w that will be heard at the OCC on 8/12/14. BRG Petroleum filed a protest against that Location Exception. Any idea why they would protest on a Location Exception?

Glenn, that area is part of the Meramec Play by Newfield and others. I suspect drilling will be heating up soon. Keep an eye on the investor presentations from Newfield, Chaparral and Husky in that area.

Any thoughts or insights? Husky Ventures filed a location exception for 20-19n-07w that will be heard at the OCC on 8/12/14. BRG Petroleum filed a protest against that Location Exception. Any idea why they would protest a Location Exception?

Look up the Chaparral Energy Investor presentation RBC presentation from June. Great pictures about who is playing what.

BRG has quite a bit of acreage in the nearby area and is drilling as well, so they may not like a particular location for geological reasons and may want a different location. Or they may have a good part of the acreage in that section and want to be operator. Could be any number of things.

This may need to be another discussion or it may not spark enough intrest. On 3-20-14 & 6-6-14 Chaparral Energy filed at the Garfield C.C.H.that they had purchased from several different lease companyies a major intrest in the following Oil & Gas leases for Garfield county . My question is did anyone notice this kind of action in Kingfisher County,or has anyone heard about it?

Kingfisher OK

ok, thanks M Barnes… I appreicate the feedback.

Thank you M Barnes for the information! I greatly appreciate it!

Tim, Newfield’s well is a 2-mile lateral in sections 5 and 8, 17N, 9W.

I’m sure a large tract like your neighbor has might command a premium. IF $2500 is accurate, that is far higher than anything I have heard. I hope it is true; if it is, somebody is expecting really big things.

Tim - Anxious to hear the report on that well. We are in 8-17N-8W.

Bill,

In OK you may participate in the well, you can lease, you can be force pooled. If you lease, you can have a depth clause. If you are force pooled, the Corporation Commission limits the zones, so essentially a depth clause (vertical Pugh).

Lady right across from us leased 160 acres for $2500 an acre in 17n, 9w. Drilling just ceased on a well a mile and a half from us drilled by Newfield. They have just begun fracking it. I am hoping for a gusher!
