My Grandmother sold 4 acres of land in 1981. I know after 10 years the land reverts back to my Grandmother’s estate. What proof do I need to present to the gas company to stop the other person from continuing to receive my royalties?
Are you talking about mineral rights or surface rights? If the mineral rights were sold and wells were drilled that are now productive within the last ten years, it is my understanding that they remain with the buyer. The mineral rights only revert back to the surface owner if there is no production and a legal process has to be followed to claim them bak.
