Can anyone recommend an O&G lawyer to look over a Producers 88 lease? Someone who already knows them backwards and forwards, but can give mineral owners some recommendations? Thank you
Welcome to the forum. There are several Texas attorneys listed in the Directories tab above. You do not have to have one in the county, just licensed in TX. You can also go to the TX Bar Association and look for attorneys with an oil and gas focus. There is no such thing as a standard Producers 88 lease (even though they put that title at the top). Each company puts their own wording into it. You are wise to get legal help in negotiating the best deal. The draft you get is almost always in the company’s favor and not the mineral owner’s favor.
