Lease Bank

Looking to see if anyone knows of a Lease Bank I can go to in order to record lases in my name. Any referrals would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I think the best bet is to record them in the county recorders office of the county in which the minerals are located. Keep records for yourself and your heirs also. Don't keep it a secret so it could become lost forever.

Are you asking for blank lease forms in which you can input your name as "Lessee". If so, you may just want to search standard producers 88's on the web and build your lease form off of that.

No, Ive got the lease signed all im working to do is get it recorded and in order to do so I need to have them paid for. Thats more of what I am looking for, then turn them over. But they first need to be recorded in our name. Does that make sense?

If I understand it correctly, you have acquired an oil and gas lease on some land / mineral interests and you want to sell or "flip" the lease to a company. Is that correct?

That is not unusual, but it is best if you acquire leases when you can afford to pay for them. The way you have done it is known as "Cold Drafting" and if you do not sell the leases quickly, you won't be able to pay for them and that tends to upset people.

Where are the lands that you have leased? Do you have a map of the properties, and can you scan in the lease and send me a copy of it?

If you can tell me where the land is, I will be happy to take a look at the area and let you know what companies, if any, are active in the area. Those would be the people to try and sell your lease to.

Hope this helps -

What he said.... I think it is a requirement to be "legal" for such to be filed in the appropriate county with the county recorder or clerk.
