Lease Expires this winter

Our 3 year lease expires this winter. We are in S3 16N 10W. Is much happening in that area?

Most likely! Continental just received orders for a horizontal well (Felix is in the section as well.)

Cause 201502094, order # 642644. You should have received paperwork if you are a mineral owner. Spaced for the Springer horizon.

Felix and Continental are both squabbling over the Pooling, Location exception and multi-type cases

Watch these numbers on the occ site. 201500319, 0321, 1436, 2094, 2096, 2097, 2101.

Haven't gotten any paperwork yet, but we are part of a family inherited ownership and just filed as an LLC. I'll check with other family members to see if they got any paperwork. Thanks!!

Hopefully you are leased as mentioned above, but if you aren't stay on top of the pooling orders because you only have 20 days to answer or you will get the default "awful" choice. Make sure you have the correct name and address at the county clerk's office. If time is of the essence, write the lawyers for both Felix and Continental and give them your new "name" and address. Send it to them anyway with the info so you get copies of the rest of the paperwork.

http://imaging.occeweb.com/imaging/OAP.aspx You can get them online.

I run our families' LLC's, so if your "head" needs a "heads up" tell them to get in touch with me.

Thanks I will contact him today.

Which field do I type those numbers into on the OCC site?

Thanks

If you are on the OAP site (cases), type the 201500319 into the Case # spot. It is better to type in the case number so you get all the documents. I gave you the other extensions as well, so 201500321, etc.

Thanks, got it.

Do you think with oil prices so low at this time, they will slow down on developing this well?

Hard to say. Companies need the revenue. Since two companies are fighting over this one, it probably will go ahead. They need to drill or they will lose their leases. What some companies are doing is drilling to save the lease and then stalling on the completion for a couple of months either to batch complete to save money or to get a better price (or both). These cycles happen pretty regularly, so the good companies survive and the bad ones get gobbled up by the good ones. The hydrocarbons are still in the ground waiting to be taken.....

thanks!
