Welcome to the forum. Make sure that your name and address are properly filed in the county courthouse so that any landmen can find you.
If you have a block, abstract and section, the forum may be able to comment on activity nearby. If there is unfavorable geology, then no one will be interested in drilling. If it is good, then someone may contact you.
That’s what I need help with is filing at the courthouse I’m confused about it all
Call the county courthouse and ask them how to file your name and address and probate documents. They may have a form template with size of paper, margins, etc. or an Affidavit of address requirements.

Look at the directories at the top of this site in mineral services. Any attorney in Texas may help you. I use Eric Camp out of Ft. Worth. Nice guy and very helpful. MK
