My family owns the SE 1/4 of Section 1, Township 11N, Range 65W in Weld Co and we are wondering what the level of interest is these days in drilling leases. Also what appropriate offers would be. We all live out of state and it is hard to know what is going on out there.

EOG took out some permits a few miles east of you and Chesapeake likewise west of you. Three year leases to the south have expired and 5 year leases will expire in 2015. I found no new leases and no production established from the permits but my search was not in detail.
Sit tight, they will get there. I would resist any long term low priced leases for the next year.
