I get tax bills for $.48 from these counties. I’ve called the tax and assessor’s offices, and while they can’t really give advice, they say that there isn’t much going on in those counties. If that’s accurate, I’m going to abandon them. Any advice??
As my great Aunt said, “Never, never, never sell your mineral rights”. This is especially true as your tax bill is so low. You never know what kind of improvements they will develop in the future! Just my 2 cents worth! Good luck!
What my grandmother said too. You just never know.
How many mineral acres do you own total in these counties? I may be interested in buying them.
We are interested in selling, I think.
- If you are going to sell, I would recommend reaching out to a number of different oil companies to get the best price! However, being reaching out I would recommend finding out if O&G are being produced in your area and how far away.
- I don’t know about in Colorado, but in West Virginia their are state websites where you can view EXACTLY where ALL the wells are located AND how much O&G they are producing. If you are in an area where there is active O&G production you can ask a LOT more for your mineral rights.
- Knowledge is money in this case!
