I am curious if there are any Lithium Leases in Oklahoma? I have several hundred acres of mineral rights in Haskel and Leflore County! I know there is coal on the property, but I have not had much luck with that. Looking to maybe there is a way to lease different types of minerals.
According to the great wikipedia, Nevada has the only current lithium mine. If you are talking about taking lithium out of brine, there are some good articles on the Smackover in Arkansas. Arkansas Oil & Gas Commission. Who owns the pore space and the produced water is a subject of much debate. Generally, the surface owner owns the subsurface water. But if the lithium comes out of hydrocarbon stream with that water, that might be a different case. An OKC company is working the idea.
