Yes, it does read mouth of the well, but I still do not understand all I know about this. LOL How do they arrive at a figure if it is not all oil?

I could find no completion report. Should be out . You can call OCC Monday at 405-522-2977 and see if they have it . They are behind on filing them.
Ron, Any word on the production on the Hudson Sec 36,19N, 2W Devon well that was drilled from Payne Sec 6, 19N,1W? The land man for Devon gave me a general range over the phone but have not seen the completion report on the OCC GIS Data Mining site yet. I have the completion report for my other well in Payne Sec 31,19N.1W.
My understanding on this and other “metering” is that yes, they pay for oil that comes out of the wellhead as legally required by allah the leases, and yes they honor those requirements, BUT first they have to get an accurate fighre of what has actually come out, and this is done not at the well head but after carefully scrutinizing the output later down the road, because attempting to do it at the well head would slow production down tremendously. This makes perfect sense to me, and we need to ask ourselves, do we want to slow down production in order to get the factual figures? Of course not. I do not believe any oil company or operator is attempting to cheat anyone out of royalties. Pessimism and paronia are neither one of my traits. Trust but verify, which the operators also believ in, is being carried out in all cases. And before we go around criticizing OCC or OTC the NSA, the CIA, the Congress, the President, we need to get our facts together first and realize the pressures they are working under. The work loads in Oklahoma City and Washington DC are so heavy that a normal sane person would be driven NUTSO just trying to figure it all out for the benefit of a majority of the people. This is called REALITY, and I consider everything else to be yesterday’s mashed potatoes.
Ron Von, precisely what is your point? You might want to try to explain how you’ve arrived at this conclusion of yours? Furthermore, why not attempt to bring some value to this forum other than, trying to force feed us with your daily dose of boring “Hot Air”, and your point of view of the on-going political stench that btw not a single county in Oklahoma voted for! That’s a fact, remember? If pessimism and paranoia aren’t one of your traits then, don’t go there until, you have all the facts!
Production data for wells brought onstream by Slawson in Mid 2013 in Logan County 17N 3W may be of interest
9 wells have produced at least six months:
first month = 147 BPD
Sixth Month = 64 BPD
When three wells producing only four months were factored in:
First Month = 148 BPD
Fourth Month = 58 BPD
Production data was found on the Tax Commission Gross Production data base. All oil was purchased by Phillips.
Stephens production has released completion reports for five wells in this township. I have been unable to find any production data for those
I did not include the Wolf 1-29H which has produced for almost two years and is still coming in with about 70 BPD
The Slawson Wells included are:
Chambers 1-5H
Chambers 1-8H
Peacock 1-9H
Witt 1-15H
Mallard 1-16H
Ruddy Duck 1-17H
Snipe 1-19H
Ruffed Grouse 1-20H
Pintail 1-21H
Canvasback 1-25H
Jane 1-23H
Pintail 1-28H
By the way, I am pretty sure all are Mississippian.
We should not forget that those writing the law, like any other state, are reps voted for and sent to OCO to write these laws, by the people, not by the well operators or oil companies. There will always be a certain amount of people who cry fowl, that is to be expected simply because not everyone will be happy with election results. These are usually, almost always, the very same people who declare that the USA is going down the tube. Ho hum.
To all: The completion report was put on the OCC’s website this afternoon for Logan County Hudson well Sec 36, 19N,2W which was drilled from the pad in Payne County Sec 6, 18N, 1W. 581 BOPD and 377MCF of gas. In the Woodford Shale zone.
Sir Ron Von, Tell me now that Oklahoma Politian’s have not been ready for this day to dawn. From my Alma Mater: http://digital.library.okstate.edu/Chronicles/v004/v004p322.html
"Among a number of letters written by him, to Ex-Governor Allen Wright, of the Choctaws, is one dated December 12, 1883, in which he said, “It would be impossible to interest capital in the work unless there was some agreement as to the extent of territory that could be had and the specified royalty; it would not do to wait until petroleum was found. You will please write me fully and explicitly as to what can be done in both the Choctaw and Chickasaw nations. Say if you think the exclusive privilege can be had, also the pipe line privilege for transporting oil.”
“The following year, the Choctaw Council passed an act approved and signed by Chief Edmund McCurtain, on October 23, 1884, with the title of “An Act of the General Council of the Choctaw Nation creating the Choctaw Oil and Refining Company, for the purpose of finding petroleum or rock oil, and increasing the revenue of the Choctaw Nation.” The incorporators were J. F. McCurtain, E. N. Wright, A. R. Durant and Allen Wright, former governor”.
Mr Mckenzie is there a link you could post that would allow me to check the production reported to the OCC on a monthly basis? My property is sec 25-19N-2W, the well was drilled from sec 23-19N-2W thanks.
I don’t know Martha, that was 150 years ago, and none of it law or even bills before any house or any governor to sign or even consider. The interested were obviously Choctaw Nation members, pursueing their own interests and those of the Choctaw Nation. This was even before 1930 when the Wild Mary Sudik blew her top and pooped out over 20,000 barrels of oil every day and over 2,000,000,000,000 etc m of natural gas until she was capped. Yet, the experts still tell us that a 20,000 bareal A DAY, day, day, well is out of the question? Maybe the Choctaw had a diviner medicine man or woman who dertected a lot of crude under their feet? I think it is still down there, and the largest wells for Oklahoma are yet to produce. But it is getting close, or I am a monkey’s uncle.
looking at Division Order just received:
What does Before Payout mean?
What does After Override Vesting mean?
Does the Phrase “Limited to Production from the Wellname n-nH Wellbore” bother anyone?
How long after a well if fracked is it before you can find out the gross production? Sec it was drilled on is Sec30 Twshp18N Range2W , they drilled four holes. I am interested in Sec 24 Twshp18N 2W. Thanks
Concerning class action law suits in OK: http://law.justia.com/cases/oklahoma/court-of-appeals-civil/2012/10…
“In 2009, the Legislature changed the standard of review for orders determining whether an action should be maintained as a class action. Laws 2009, c. 228, §16. Such an order “shall be subject to a de novo standard of review by any appellate court reviewing the order.” 12 O.S.2011 §2023©(2).”
Call the OCC and someone will be happy to walk you through to set you up on the GIS Mining Data so that you can look at your production.
Robert, Virginia is right. The 2011 Shale Reservior Act allowed for OCC determination of unit size. Here’s the descriptive Enrolled House Bill 1909, See pg 10. In addition, OCC has 2014 scheduled review of this act for further determination of multi-units.
"C. Size of the Unit.
Each unit shall be two governmental sections. However, the
Commission may expand the size of the unit by including additional
governmental sections up to a maximum unit size of four governmental
sections, if for good cause shown the Commission finds the expansion
of the unit size beyond two governmental sections is necessary to
prevent waste, to protect correlative rights and will result in the
increased recovery of substantially more oil and gas from the shale
reservoir than would otherwise be recovered based upon, but not
necessarily limited to:"
Robert,
I don’t think you can keep them from multi-unit spacing unless you can prove their is enough oil on your property. And unless you know they are planning on muti-unit, you don’t have enough time to get your case together to go to OCC spacing. Plus it will be costly to get all the information together for the court.
