Have a relative who died in 1954 that owned land in Section 19 Block 27 Public School Lands. I recently received a letter from an Energy Company interested in purchasing the land (In which they state I now own 0.125 with some other relatives).
I’ve seen from other posts in this thread that Section 19 Block 27 seems to already have some oil wells which produce. Would it be in my best interest to try and get more information or just accept the $500 offer for my stake of the land? I imagine it has to be worth more, I didn’t receive an amount of acreage though.
