Looking for leasing info for Section 6 Township 20S Range 39E

Just curious if any one here has leased their minerals from Section 6, Township 20S, Range 39E.

When did you lease it?

How much were you paid?

Length of lease?

I may be coming to that point soon, and I like to be informed before hand, not after the fact.

Thx in advance for any and all information.

Jim,

Bought a few leases 2 mi from you, also got some state leases in 20S 39E last year. Paid a couple hundred an acre for 5 years on those. If you have any additional info about your play/minerals, pm me to discuss. Pretty flexible to get involved in different ways.

Bart,

Thanks for the information. It IS helpful. On those ‘state leases’, how many acres did you lease? If my understanding of the ‘map information’ is correct, it appears we have between 900 - 1000 acres of mineral rights to lease. Not sure if that relegates this to ONE large company or many small ones.

How did the leases turn out? Any wells drilled or production started? Just curious.

Jim,

Those were two 40 acre tracts, no activity on them in about a year since we picked them up, I'd have to verify exact locations with staff, lot of stuff going across my desk, but we put minimum $20 bids on the sealed bid portion and get a lot of stuff to just hold, that don't receive bids, I'll go through last year's state leases to see what is what. I think 900-1000 acres would be something I could work with or if not me, another mid-sized company, certainly any of the larger entities but I don't see too much going on out here just yet in terms of horizontal activity. I could do some geo work and see what turns up, wouldn't cost me too much and something I would have eventually gotten to anyway. Send me an email ([email protected]) regarding the 'map information' you mentioned, or a legal description you might have from a deed and I will try to concentrate around your area and see what's there. I'm gonna head out to Cheyenne and then Dallas tomorrow, but I'll be back in the office next week. I think I see you on the map as Wm Wal….etc.

Bart,

Email has been sent. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Oh, an one person ON the map would be ‘Adah Hurd’, as my grandmother remarried after her first husband (my grandfather) died. She leased 40 acres to a company (Apache I think) who drilled a gas well in 1992. Then that energy company sold the lease after six years to Capataz, who pumped it for another six years and then capped it in 2004 or 2005.

My parents name is Robert M and Mary Ruth.

My parents did lease 40 acres to Apache but they never drilled. That lease was 2008 - 2011. It appears they may have leased a section to Sand Ridge, from 2010 - 2013. In each case no wells were drilled that I am aware of.

Jim,

I did receive your email and began to work on some of this today, also got my geologist involved. Hopefully will be back to you by early next week with some information. Thanks for the additional info, it all helps the case.

Bart

Bart,

No rush. I've been at this for almost a year. I suspect that once you look it over, it is probably in the 600 - 650 acres range than the 900 - 1000 acres range I originally thought it was. A little bit of duplication it appears.

Great, thanks again for the opportunity here, as it may overlap a project we have recently started.
