I receive a royalty check for a producing oil well, I have more than 1/8 royalty. The papers included in the statement seem to give all money to production and deductions that do not make sense. I was sent a letter by a member of the Mineral Forum that sometimes they are not right, but it is up to the owner to find out. The oil well is producing a lot of money, but I only get 25.00 at the most in a period of 6 months. This is my first oil well, but does this sound right?
Does anyone know of an on-line free software to enter the figures into the computer and see if I am not being taken advantage of? Hiring a lawyer to figure this out would not be in my best interest at this time.
