The oil markets are the definition of boom and bust. OPEC can only plug the gap so much to realign supply with demand, so while unfortunate, shutting-in wells is only choice for U.S. operators.
Agreed. At the end of the day, all commodity markets must come into balance, whether in the short, medium, or long term. We don’t keep extracting or growing commodities to let them rot or sit in storage. The strong will survive, and well, the weak will, you know…
