Thanks Clint.
Hi, Clint,
You must have been reading my mind. I am new to the forum and was looking for a map showing activity when I saw this. My group has just gained control over 160 acres but I am not sure where is. Do you know of a map showing section and block info? ( I am Sec.28, Blk C-8) Also do you have a suggestion or know of an indivigual that would help in determining valuations for sale of the parcel or it's lease value?
thanks

Kurt,
This map(GIS) from the Texas RR Commission is very helpful.

Craig, this is a tutorial video of how to use the GIS(Geographic Information System) map.

I am brand new to this site. Just wondering if anyone has had the same experience that my deceased nearly 90 year old father had. Several years ago (2009) he was taken advantage of by a company named Nantucket Resources. I just recently received all the information concerning this from my mother's papers (she recently passed away). My father was too embarrassed to tell us much about what happened. But he received a check for $5,000 in exchange for subleasing to Nantucket his interest in property in Reeves County. The lease states for one year and then as long as any kind of mineral is found on the property. After that, the lease would be returned to him. Soon after he accepted the offer, he had multiple 5 and 6 figure offers. I'm just trying to find out if anything is being produced there and what to do about changing his name to my sister and my names. Can anyone recommend someone reputable to do a title search?
Hi Suzanne,
there are some very knowledgeable people on this site who can start pointing you in the right direction. They will need to know the Legal description of your father's mineral acres location?
Also if you would like some legal advice, I recommend Attorney Wade Caldwell he is on this site too.
