Hi, I am a newbie to this forum and a newbie to the world of minerals as well. I have mineral rights on/under ten parcels of land in an active oil field in Los Angeles county (Wilmington field). I have no idea how to go from the legal descriptions of the parcels to the title to the well (if any). Can someone please give me pointers on what I need to do? Also, since LA is a bit of a distance from my home (and has no online records search) can someone please advise me on what type of professional I could pay to do this research?
Thanks & Regards
Lindsay:
I am not familiar with California mineral searches but I would google the State of California Conservation Commission and review the info on their website. If you don't find what you need, contact them via phone or email and ask if they provide the info you are looking for.
Thank you, these links are quite helpful.

Thank you, I found a link whereby if I find any wells I can see their status and production.
