Mineral interest payment for producing well - who do you contact to see about payments due

I have mineral interest in 2 Net Acres in White county, SE 1/4 or the NE 1/4 and the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4. I see that there is a producing well on this land - have not received any royalty - who or how do I go about finding whom to contract to find out. Thanks for any help someone might give me!

I’d start at the IL DNR - Oil and Gas website to identify the operator of the well(s) and go about it that way. It could be that you inherited or purchased the interest from the predecessor and the operator was never alerted to the transfer, in which case the monies are being held in suspense or still being paid to the predecessor.

There are many things that could be going on, but that’s where I’d start. Good luck.
