Hi All. I have received an offer to purchase our small amount of mineral acres in McKenzie County. Two different locations. (1) Township147N, Range 99W, 5th PM, section 34:N1/2, 2.4242 net mineral acres (2) Township 145 North, Range 100W, 5th PM, section 1:lots 1,2,3,4,S1/2N1/2, S1/2(All) Section2:All, Section 13(All), Section 14N1/2, 2.1184 net mineral acres. Receiving minimal royalties (100-200/yr). Trying to decide if I should sell. Offer was for ~15,000. Seems good for the very small amount of royalties we have been receiving. They also are interested in picking up 8.5 net mineral acres in Richland County Montana. 25,877 for all 3 areas. Any thought or advice on this to help me decide would be greatly appreciated. The contact was a land man from Texas. I am 73 and wondering if it is worth hanging on to these to see if I can “strike it rich” before leaving this old world. Thanks.
We personally will NEVER sell our mineral acres. Typically, they don’t even want to buy them unless something is planned with them for future production. Research and see under hearing documents and permits issued if there is something going on.
Anyone able to comment on the activity for oil production in these specific areas? Very curious about what is happening currently to help in my decision to keep or sell.
(1) Township147N, Range 99W, 5th PM, section 34:N1/2, 2.4242 net mineral acres. Active leasing by Energy Lease Account in the last three years.
(2) Township 145 North, Range 100W, 5th PM, section 1:lots 1,2,3,4,S1/2N1/2, S1/2(All) Old wells P&A
Section2:All, Old injection well.
Section 13(All), no wells?
Section 14N1/2, 2.1184 net mineral acres. No wells.
What wells are you getting paid on? What township are s 13 & 14 since I do not see any wells.
The small royalty checks indicated on the statements of revenue that the well is SHEEP CREEK STORM #1-1V.
I answered about that well on the other topic.
