Last lease my family signed paid at $500 per acre. I have heard $300 to $1000. We did have an offer for a $1000 on the table in 2012, but the deal fell through when the company realized the land had drilling activity. This was Continental Resources.
I would make sure you get a hold of a reputable Mineral rights attorney and learn as much as you can about leasing before signing.
