Dry Creek and others are still actively trying to buy minerals in this section (17 acquisitions since Mar 26, 2021, 8 of them by DC). We have been contacted by them and a couple of others about our 30 nma in the NW4 offering in the $7K-$8K range for this interest on a 3/16 lease. We were contacted by another buyer offering about the same, but after some discussion they agreed to our asking price of $10K. Since nothing seemed to be happening on Ovintiv’s request for increased density we thought this was a decent offer and told them to send a copy of proposed contract for dead and mineral deed for us to review. Lo and behold, the very next day we received Casillas’s filing for increased density for 1 Miss and 2 Wdfrd with a hearing set for July 27th. Having second thoughts now and have to talk to my principals this weekend to see what they want to do. Sure glad we always take some time to go over legal documents with a fine toothed comb!
