My siblings and I have a 20 acre tract in Montgomery, located off FM1097 approximately 1 mi. E of Bentwater and 3 mi. N. The proximity to Lake Conroe is in minutes not miles. We have been approached by someone who would like to purchase the land and the mineral rights. It has been in our family for 130 years and we've never heard of any oil and gas exploration in this area nor of any meaningful mineral values.
Is anyone aware of activity in this area and if not, any suggestions as to whom I should contact about this. Any information would be helpful.
