We were just informed there are still Well Leases in my Mother’s name (she passed in late 2016) that are still in production in Converse County WY. Why these were not brought up in 2017 by the WY Probate attorneys with the other lease we now have as her heirs, I don’t know. I do know we need to find them. Can anyone point me to where we can find out who holds these leases or how to find them? I have not found them within her paperwork I have. I’m the only heir who has her paperwork. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
@mregf, the best place to check would be the Converse County recorded documents. There is a subscription service that allows some on-line searches, or you can hire a title company or landman to search for you, or you can journey to Douglas, Wyoming to search for them yourself.
