Mitchell County, TX - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Yes, They represent Laredo and we are currently negotiating with them. Where are your minerals located?

What kind of offer are they shooting you? Is Laredo a driller are leasing for someone else?

Quanah Energy is leasing for $625 and 23%…

The first offer was $600 and 22.5%. Our attorney is negotiating.

JB - East half of Section 19 Block 25

Laredo is production company and would drill for themselves. They have been drilling Cline wells in Sterling County for two to three years now. Laredo went public within the past 12 months (LPI).

PAULA NOT SURE WHERE YOUR INFO CAME FROM BUT I CAN NOT FIND A PERMIT OR ANYTHING SHOWING LAREDO ACTIVITY IN STERLING COUNTY IN LAST 2 YEARS???

My apologizies Mickie, check permits in Glasscock. My geography teacher would be disappointed in me. About a year ago, Laredo bought a private company by the name of Broadoak Energy. Even though they are operating under the name Laredo, you may find some information under that company as well. I hope this helps.

Aaron not sure what you are needing to know. If the property is producing then there should have been a title opinion showing exact ownership. Now if some of the owners could not be found then I beleive there money is held for so long then goes to the state. What is your question?

Only new drilling permit this week is on Energen’s North Westbrook Unit, a recompletion, 4,000 ft depth, 10 miles NW of Colorado City.

I have mineral interests in a producing area currently owned Merit Energy. I contacted Merit and they acknowledged there is some unknown royalty interests/owners. They acquired this area about a year ago. My initial phone & email discussion was a couple of weeks ago. They are looking into it and going to contact me on their research. Is there any one in this group that has traveled this road?

Aaron… I would get in touch with Ty Wood, oil and has attorney in Colorado City.

If the money is with the state, it is my understanding with proof of ownership of the property you might be able to apply to the State Funds, where you look to see if your relatives had something as well, I did with my father in AK in unclaimed funds… and found some…Good Luck

Bill and I drove down toward the Wallace M1 H location this evening. There is a drilling rig you can see off toward the NE maybe 5 or 6 miles from County Road 345 on the top of a flat mesa. Nolan county, but the western edge. Close to where the Wallace M1 H should be, but from the directions I had we I don’t think it is the same well location. Mickie B., do you know who is drilling that one?

We wound around the road, through Sun’s old Nena Lucia field, toward the cement plant at Maryneal and there was a location built about 2 miles west of that cement plant. Exciting times!

Several more Energen permits showing up today for their Westbrook field, think they were all recompletions about 4,000 ft.

I am not really good at linking stuff, but this map link should pinpoint the wallace m1 well ( the purple dot) and you can zoom in or out.

Reason I am asking is it looks like there is a permit location marked in the middle of part of our property in Mitchell County

Thanks so much

Thank you so much, back in 86 Gulf oil had a lease on the one part, block 27, Sec 38 that is where it showed a permit location, and then Dockery had a lease back in '47" had a lease on Block 27, sec 47

We have leases with Lincoln Land & Title

Does anyone know how often rrc site is updated? New wells, etc?
