L S Schmidt, thanks!
Gary,
Devon’s Scharlach Lease: Sec 19 Blk 13 H&TC
Devon’s Wulfjen Lease: W/2 Sec 89 Blk 26 T&P
Devon’s Mayse Lease: Sec 55 Blk 12 H&TC
Firewheel’s Webb Lease: Sec 71 Blk 25 T&P
and Laredo drilled a vertical well NE of Loraine, I can’t recall exactly where. Cody Hughes will know. I think it was a science well that looked promising, because it looks like they got a horizontal permit I think in the same location. Anybody remember if that’s right?
I can’t locate the Wallace section and block, but if Mickie Byrd is reading this he will have it.
About those Wulfjens, out of the 3 siblings, I am the NICEST one (my brother Urda will see this, I had to say it : ) But that question is kind of like when someone asks Bill if Mike Everett is his brother. He starts looking nervous, gets sweaty, his eyes dart back and forth, and he says,…mmmmaybe, why? Mike is our comedian. He has taken the offering Sunday night with his bubba teeth in. One youth party was a luau. Mike shows up with a coconut bra on, and he is a hairy little monkey, so it was really funny. Sorry, enough family humor!
Really I haven’t had dealings with any of the companies except Devon. I think LS was saying they are good to work with, and I haven’t heard anything negative about them. Are you dealing with them?
Good evening…
Lariat Energy rig # 5 drilled Loreado`s Treadaway well, block 24. sec 30, then immeadiately moved about 1 mile Southeast and drilled their Hall well, block 24, sec. 31, before moving out of county to Sterling City. Both were vertical wells but the Treadaway well has since been repermitted to a horizontal well. I persume they are waiting on a rig.
Thanks y’all.
Mickie, I wish you would tell us what you REALLY think about Chesapeake.
Toni you sound like a pistol. The wallace is in Nolan county boarder Mitchell county sec 35 blk 12 and runs north into sec 48. I have dealt with Devon for many years and can tell you that they are a good company with the resources needed. Much better than Chesepeake who are dogs. Any lease I sign will include a clause that it can not go to chesepeake.
Gary,
The wells are in block 24 , secs. 30 and 31. These sections are on the far west side of block 24 with the division line between the two blocks being the county road (County road 460 I believe) that runs paralell to and a mile east of farm to market 644 North of Loraine.
Although I have lived in and around the Texas Midwest for much of my life, there is a lot about oil & gas exploration and production that I don’t understand, so please bear with me as I try to come up to speed.
Mr. Richardson, in looking at the GIS Map Viewer I am wondering if you meant block 25 for the wells you are talking about. If not, maybe I am reading the map wrong.
I entered the latitude and longitude information from the GIS Map Viewer for the leases we have been talking about into Google Earth and this is what I came up with. For those of y’all that live out there, does this look right.
I see the Hall well by laredo has been spudded in sec 31 blk 24 but it is a vertical wildcat.
Gary, I think you have the leases pinpointed correctly. The map is clear enough to count the sections and see the county roads.
Looking at my map, I do think the Hall and Treadaway leases are in Block 24, but it looks like you have them in the right locations on your map.
Toni,
I’ve zoomed in a little bit to give more detail to the sites.
Anyone know anything about Hale County. I have a small interest there in: Section 19, Block R, EL&RR Survey. Initial offer is very low. Hale County forum hasn’t responded.
Brian, You are a couple of miles east of Vic Adoue’s property (formerly CC and Emmabeth Thompson) where Devon will soon build a location for drilling.
Wade Caldwell (in this group) has compiled a comprehensive list of utilizing on line resources. Click on his name and I think it goes to his page, and information about some things he has written for the forum. It will be helpful to you. Toni
Brian, there is also a video on the home page which shows you how to navigate the RRC website.
Hello Mitchell County Group. Last year this time my family’s non-executive mineral rights to land in CC were leased to Devon via Ted Lilly at Energex, LLC (which now seems to be defunct). I am new to this business and am trying to determine if any progress has been made toward drilling on the lands. I have tried to contact Devon directly, but have not had much luck. The land in question is Section 55, Block 26.
Are there online resources I can utilize to monitor progress?
Thanks in advace for any and all help.
Toni - Just wondering if you’ve heard any more from Devon regarding your niece’s place near Morgan Creek? Seems to be pretty quite out our direction and I wondered if they had staked her place yet. Don Petty
Don, I talked to my niece on Wednesday. She had talked again with Devon’s field representative. He couldn’t specify the day her well will be staked, maybe within a couple of weeks. The date to drill on her is still unknown.
Are your interests in the Lake C City/Westbrook area? toni
@ George Cato this is a very active site. There is a general Cline Shale forum you can join. Not sure which play that is, but you might see if there is one for the area. @Wade Caldwell, do you have a link for the video? I could not find it.
Drove by the Webb Well tonight. Soft glow of a gas flare burning : ))
