Has Firewheel completed a well in Mitchell county? If so, results? Where? Any other information?
The Webb was completed just before Christmas and has turned out to be a disappointment. bill takes care of the well so we are not at liberty to reveal actual numbers. the well is in the eastern part of Mitchell county.
thanks ruffin. bill needs some new barbed wire since some of our fence was built in 1886 and still has the original wire !!! i’m sure you can imagine what that looks like.
Does anyone know how far away the Webb well that Firewheel drilled is from Sec. 47, Block 26? I was disappointed to hear it was a disappointment and wonder what effect it will have on ours as it is leased to Firewheel for 2 more years. I have called them to see if they have sold it to another company, but no reply. Is this information that they wouldn’t want to reveal? Seems we should have a right to know?
What is the location of the Webb well?
Lights from the rig on the Vic Adou are shinning tonight.
Did they frac the Webb well?
I tried to call Ben Ryburn the other day . He’s the landman with Firewheel. I got his answering machine, but was unable to even leave a message, as his mailbox was full!It appears that they’re not wanting to talk to anyone. We leased part of Blk 25, Sec 75 with them. We have another section in Blk 25, Sec 73 which is unleased. The Webb well results didn’t help any of us, did it?
Stephen,
Here is a link to the drilling permit. It will have the location of the Webb well.

Thanks. 4.6 miles SE of Loraine.
Martha, Your place is about 6 miles to the northwest if it is T&P Survey. Is it just east of Colorado City?
I have received 2 offers this week for part of my mineral interest in Mitchell County! My dad always said that whatever the offer is, it is worth at least twice that much. So, with no proven wells they are offering quite a bit! This should be fun!
http://www.smartplanet.com/blog/take/oil-and-gas-price-forecast-for… This article says that companies can still drill if price drops to $50, but the way I understand would not do much spec drilling. Someone else may interpret different. Sorry if this has already been posted. I’m know I read it earlier somewhere.
The W2 report for Linton Webb well is available on RRC Completions now.
Could you post the link or the numbers here?
Cheryl,
How much did they offer… if you don’t mind saying. We’ve been offered small bonus… terrible lease terms but 25%
It was out right buy for up to $1000 which is much better than the others have been. Our is leased so we are not selling!
10-4. Hopefully all of the talk of two big oil/gas finds will wind up in Mitchell and Howard Counties… and the whole Cline Shale!
The IP was 232 barrels per day. Not the best but certainly not the worst. Another 68 barrels per day and it would probably have been considered good.
Thanks. We’ll look forward to better numbers on the Wulfjen. Right Toni?
