Stephen, Use the Search function in the upper right corner of this page to look for the definition of BOE, as compared to barrels per day. Horizontal wells drain anywhere from 80-320 acres depending on who you listen to. However, the spacing rules, linked below, show you how close together the RRC will issue permits for without an exception. Reports I have seen say anywhere from 300,000 to 1 million + barrels of oil recoverable per 640 acres, so about 1000 barrels per acre, give or take 50%. These are projections. Little actual results and certainly not enough years of production to substantiate any of this.
That sign is too cool Toni…
Cheryl, I know of one that leased next to me. And I can find out the others real easy. Yes, I have majority ownership. Thanks Cheryl.
If you are talking about the Vic Adoue (the old Thompson ranch) …yes there is a drilling rig on it.
So, is this block 26 section 60 or 74.
Are they drilling the site east of Lake C City? The one they had to build a road to?
Sue, there are new leases most weeks in the CCity Record. Some are ratifications, but there are new ones. Do you know which company has leased near you? That would be the one to approach. You do have majority ownership? Otherwise, you wait for majority owner to sign. Also, Kew is getting new leases over the last few months.
Toni, love the sign!
Sec 71 Blk 27 I think Cheryl.
Think the Devon rigs that are on the McGee lease and the Adoue lease will move up to the NW part of the county onto the Strain and Morris locations next.
New York Times - great article, hot off the presses
Nice article. Thanks for posting.
Wade, Thanks for the information.
Has anyone heard a word about the Devon well in Mitchell County near the Howard County line, the Snyder C 1H? I can’t find anything.
Jack Snyder, do you know the sec and blk info?
the previous entry is the permit for the Snyder C 1H well; it is the one near Hyman (South West of Colorado City and very near the Howard County Line.
Hall Well added.
Thanks Jennifer B. They have also permitted another one due south in the lower left corner of the county about 8-10 miles away. Interesting.
really interesting, now we need access or how to access any production info: Clint can you be of any help.
