Mitchell County, TX - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Trudy and Cheryl- Devon and Lincoln ARE still working in leasing county land— do not believe everything on here-- They are still leasing and still working together.

Will do, I think everyone is speculating, I never have been one to get all hyped up etc, however I have to feel a twinge of excitement seeing them, and praying just maybe, but for this town I am so greatful, I have been praying for something for a long time, to help out here.

208 north of C City just inside Scurry line to the West, there is now a big gate that says 24hour notice before entry…

7 big rigs with oil drilling pipe on them, parked down town C-city by the 7-11, looks like it is starting…don’t know where

Thanks for the updates. Sounds like it’s getting interesting.

I am not from the area… Pardon the ignorance but “scurry line” is referencing what?

Its probably right in the middle of your acreage Ed…LOL Did you ever get your lease closed?

You got me Robert! I will shoot you an email…

Does anyone still have some minerals to lease around Loraine or Colorado City?

Loraine? Yes. What can you tell me?

Ok, heard several trucks were empty now, so they are dumping their load at night to keep it hush hush,…this is so James Bond…hahaha

Mike, my Dad has quite a bit of divided minerals around Loraine???

Rebecca… “Just inside scurry line”… How far north is that from 208 and CR145?

I am not sure I would have to look at a map, however there are a total of about 17 trucks now with pipe

I also have mineral rights around Colorado City.

Thanks Rebecca!

Welcome Ed…just having fun…I am the one who is not originally from around here…but I am sure learning the lingo…haha

Sorry…I meant Scurry County Line from Mitchell County on Hwy 208 going North…I have learned to short cut, like saying C-City, instead of Colorado City, the one in Texas…LOL

CCity is in Mitchell County. Snyder is in Scurry County. Scurry abuts Mitchell to the north. Dunn in very near the county line boundary.

I have some around Loraine, as well. What section are yours located?
