The most cost effective way to determine your NMA is to add a provision to your lease that the company has to provide you with copies of any Title Abstracts, Title Runsheets and Title Opinions they prepare or acquire covering the history of your lands.
That's free, whereas a Landman could cost you thousands of dollars.
If the interests are already producing, you can look up the various decimal interests owned by the different parties in the Mineral Tax Rolls.
